6 easy ways I make Zorin OS even faster and more secure
Zorin OS is beautiful, simple, and, best of all, it's Linux. Although it works well out of the box, there are straightforward tweaks that can improve both performance and security; these six tips are free and quick to apply. Start by enabling the firewall. Open the desktop menu, type Firewall, click Firewall Configuration, enter your password when prompted, and click the On/Off slider associated with Status to enable the UFW GUI.
Set up Timeshift next: open the desktop menu, type Timeshift, click the entry and Install when prompted, attach an external USB drive to house backups, and open the Timeshift app to create restore points. If performance feels sluggish, disable animations: open the Zorin Appearance app from the desktop menu, go to Effects, and click the On/Off slider for Animations until it is Off.
Keep the system secure by applying updates promptly; Zorin OS will alert you when updates are available, or you can open the Software app, click the Updates tab, and apply any available updates.
