5 cozy game demos I'm downloading after 37 dropped during Summer Game Fest
Cozy games—largely defined by vibes—were everywhere during the recent weekend of showcases. I counted 37 cozy-game demos that dropped across the Wholesome Games Showcase and various publisher events, and that total comes before the Steam Next Fest demo event begins next week.
I compiled a full list of all 37 demos, but to help cut through the noise I’m highlighting the five I’m personally downloading right now.
My cozy-game vice is anything that lets me build or decorate a house, village, city, or shop. I kept those impulses in check and picked only one building-focused title among the five so I could sample other cozy genres as well.
The first pick is Toem 2. The original Toem was an adorable adventure where you use a camera to complete a stamp rally, and I’m eager to see what Something We Made has cooked up for the sequel. I enjoy how the small prompts push you to pay attention to the world and figure out how to snap the right shot, so I’m playing this demo posthaste.
