32-inch 4K Asus OLED for $599 looks like the Prime Day monitor bargain
Prime Day has produced a lot of strong monitor deals, and one caught my eye: the ASUS ROG Strix XG32UCDS, a 32‑inch 4K OLED, is listed on Newegg for about $599. Thirty‑two‑inch 4K is one of my favourite monitor form factors, while 34‑inch ultrawides with OLED panels remain notably more expensive.
The main compromise here is refresh rate—the panel tops out at 165 Hz. For a 4K screen that’s not a major drawback: few GPUs can drive 360 Hz at that resolution, and esports players typically aren’t shopping for 32‑inch 4K panels. What you don’t get at this price is the latest Samsung QD‑OLED tech; the MSI MPG 322UR X24 I reviewed in May uses an upgraded QD‑OLED that’s brighter and suffers less from the purple tint, but it goes for about $1,099.
The Asus even includes a USB‑C port with 15 W power delivery, and in a low‑light workspace it’s tempting to buy two for a dual‑panel OLED setup. Given the performance and the price gap to upgraded 32‑inch QD‑OLEDs, the ROG Strix XG32UCDS is a compelling Prime Day option.
