'21 Jump Street' Sequel Confirmed After 14 Years

A long-awaited third installment in the 21 Jump Street franchise is officially happening. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are in talks to reprise their leading roles, and Ice Cube is discussing a return as Captain Dickson. The new film will be titled 24 Jump Street.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller are back on the project as producers after helming the first two installments and coming off the smash hit Project Hail Mary. Rodney Rothman will direct; he co-wrote 22 Jump Street and collaborated with Lord on the script for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, also earning a co-director credit on Miles Morales' first web-slinging adventure.

Rothman co-wrote the screenplay for 24 Jump Street with Jonah Hill and Meghan Malloy. Producer Neal H. Moritz, who helped shape the original Jump Street films, is also returning to the project.
