2026’s Biggest Fantasy Blockbuster Officially Breaks Fandango on Ticket Sale Day
Tickets for Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey went on sale today for IMAX and other premium formats, and the rush overwhelmed ticketing site Fandango. The crash occurred earlier today, and users are still having trouble selecting seats even as other parts of the site appear to work.
The film follows Odysseus (Matt Damon) on his voyage home after the Trojan War. Clocking in at 172 minutes, Nolan says the movie—shot entirely on IMAX cameras—will bring the massive scale of the classic Greek story to the biggest screens available. Audiences will see Odysseus and his men face trials from sirens to monsters such as Charybdis, Scylla and the cyclops Polyphemus, while suitors at home press their case to Penelope (Anne Hathaway) in his absence.
