20 players who will define the 2026 summer transfer window

The January transfer window has closed with relatively few big-money moves, leaving the stage set for a potentially blockbuster summer. Top-tier talents, emerging youngsters and a number of prospective free agents could reshape the market once the window reopens in June, and the World Cup is likely to produce breakout stars who earn moves off the back of strong performances.

Several names stand out as likely to dominate discussions.
