Walker Scobell says he had to cover his face while filming with Kate McKinnon
Nbc reports that 17-year-old Walker Scobell told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 19 that he "just has to cover my face" because he can't stop laughing when working with Kate McKinnon.
Scobell said his tendency to break character began with Lin-Manuel Miranda, who has a recurring role as Hermes since Season 1, and that he "can't not laugh when he [does improv]." He described a similar reaction to McKinnon, who joined the Percy Jackson cast as the goddess Aphrodite for Season 3, which is still filming. The piece notes McKinnon left Saturday Night Live as a cast member after Season 47 and hosted the December 16, 2023 episode.
The Tonight Show will also air a special episode immediately following NBC's coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday, February 6 at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT (next-day availability on Peacock), with guests including Chris Hemsworth and MrBeast and a performance by Lil Uzi Vert.
