Tunisia 0-2 Japan at half-time
Half-time: Japan lead Tunisia 2-0. Daichi Kamada put Japan ahead in the fourth minute and Ayase Ueda doubled the advantage in the 31st with a powerful low drive that went through Talbi’s legs and into Dahmen’s net.
Japan dominated the first half, looking very good and deserving of their lead. Their 3-4-3 allowed them to control the tempo, stroking the ball around the back three and using a slow-slow-quick rhythm to probe both flanks, with Nakamura, Kamada, Ito and Doan creating repeated threats.
Tunisia had moments — Dahmen produced a heroic claw to keep out a close effort and Dylan Bronn deflected a near-certain chance away — but the side were a step down in quality and Renard continued to bellow from the touchline. Tunisia are flattered by their combined 1-7 scoreline after three halves and, as things stand, are heading out of the tournament.
