The Wolf Among Us 2 promises Fabletown's darkest story yet
In a hands-off demo, Bigby Wolf and mundy officer Faye investigate a murder in an apartment and discover a magical note that forms Bigby’s name. Tensions rise as Faye trains a gun on the detective, suggesting this sequel’s mystery will reach beyond Fabletown. I watched the demo alongside creative director Zak Garriss and design director Jess Campbell at Summer Game Fest, observing dialogue choices that let Bigby feel both gruff and unexpectedly endearing.
Garriss says there’s “something incredibly rich about playing a character…who has the kind of baggage that Bigby has,” and the team plans to explore his history, scars and vulnerabilities in darker ways than before. Gameplay has been expanded: a third-person camera follows Bigby as he examines environments, and the story builds from a single murder into an interlocking conspiracy.
