The End of Oak Street Debuts New Looks at Dinosaur Mayhem
David Robert Mitchell's new sci‑fi film, now titled The End of Oak Street (originally Flowervale Street), has released fresh images and a brief preview that tease dinosaur mayhem set against a suburban landscape. Abrams. The material on display leans into large‑scale thrills while keeping young characters at the center. The film channels Spielbergian energy and evokes Jurassic Park vibes, though Mitchell says he wanted to do something different. He also cites inspirations ranging from The Twilight Zone and Poltergeist to The Valley of Gwangi and M.
Night Shyamalan's Signs, promising an "'80s Amblin vibe." Mitchell added that Brian De Palma's techniques influenced the visual approach, including a fondness for split diopter shots, and the team spent hours storyboarding sequences to craft a distinctive visual language.
