Pagesix reports Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are facing the "first real test" in their relationship as his potential NFL retirement looms amid their wedding planning.

A source told Daily Mail that Swift has been focusing on lifting Kelce's "defeated" spirits after the Kansas City Chiefs' losing 2025-26 season, spending more time with him and "not bombarding him with wedding plans," the insider said. The source added the period represents the pair's first major test, noting they have enjoyed the success of her tour and his Super Bowls and career, but Kelce is now "staring at his future with complete 20/20 vision" and feeling "a bit defeated."

The insider said Kelce will "make the Chiefs well aware of his future plans by early March" and that "we will know a few weeks after the Super Bowl if he will be returning or not." Earlier reporting in the source material said the couple had originally planned an intimate Rhode Island wedding next summer but are now considering a Tennessee venue and a possible destination event on a private island. Their representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
