According to Gamesradar, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms showrunner Ira Parker said George R.R. Martin has been nothing but supportive of the new spin-off, even though Martin has not always approved of adaptations of his books. Parker told reporters he spent a week in Santa Fe with Martin
