Run Away finale reveals Ingrid killed Aaron; Paige survives

People reports that in the Netflix limited series Run Away's finale, Simon Greene (James Nesbitt) learns that his wife, Ingrid, killed Aaron and that their daughter Paige is alive.

Over the course of the series Simon uncovers that Paige had been sexually assaulted at school, fell into addiction, and was found high with Aaron before he was later discovered murdered. Paige told Simon she ran away after finding Aaron's body because she thought the police would suspect her; detectives had concluded cult members Ash and Dee Dee were responsible, but Paige revealed that Ingrid had killed Aaron to protect her. Ingrid confesses after waking from a coma and also says Rocco shot her because he knew she had murdered Aaron and feared he was next.

The family returns home and attempts to move on, but Simon learns that Aaron was Ingrid's son born in the Shining Haven cult and therefore Paige's half-brother; Paige begs him not to tell Ingrid and the series ends with the family around the dinner table and an unresolved ambiguity. Nesbitt told Tudum in January 2026, "Right at the very end, I look down the lens as if to say, 'What do I do now?' I like that ambiguity because it isn't all a happy ending. How could it be?"
