Router Rebooter: cheap timer that reboots every 24 hours
Consumer-grade routers can become unreliable, and one simple solution is an inline power timer. The Router Rebooter plugs between a router's DC power cable and the router and cuts power every 24 hours for about five seconds. There are no buttons, dials, apps or settings; plug it in and it starts its countdown.
The dongle uses 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC jacks and handles voltages from 5V to 15V, which fits the range used by most consumer devices. The single jack size may not suit every router, and there is no way to change the reboot interval or to see how long remains until the next reboot.
I installed the Rebooter at a few local businesses that rely on low-quality, provider-supplied routers where manually rebooting meant crawling behind counters and untangling wires. The daily power cycle refreshed connections and noticeably reduced frustration; I've also used them on remote cameras that benefit from regular reboots.
