Reality TV star's 4-year-old son airlifted after bouncy castle accident
Jess Wright's four-year-old son, Presley, was airlifted to hospital after being catapulted off the top of a bouncy castle and landing face down on a hard wooden floor from about three metres high. Wright said the boy struggled to breathe and then passed out, and the noise from the impact silenced the party.
The family were blue lit to the trauma unit in London, where medics discussed possible broken ribs, spine injury and worse. Presley was released a few hours later with no injuries beyond a few bruises, a development Wright described as miraculous. She thanked the families at the birthday party, the ambulance team and the doctors at the Royal London Hospital.
Wright, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex and has spoken about her son’s congenital Bicuspid Aortic Valve diagnosed at two, said the accident left her and her husband, William Lee-Kemp, traumatised and more cautious about safety.
