PSG reach verbal agreement with Yan Diomande, hindering Liverpool
Liverpool’s search for a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah has been set back after Paris Saint-Germain moved into pole position for Yan Diomande. The RB Leipzig youngster has reportedly given his approval for a move to the Parc des Princes, a development that shifts momentum away from Merseyside.
Luis Campos is already reshaping the PSG squad with an eye on long-term sustainability and a renewed right flank. With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola tending to the left and Ousmane Dembele moving centrally, Diomande has been identified as the profile needed to supply a dynamic option on the right, putting PSG in direct competition with Liverpool.
Leipzig retain a strong negotiating hand: Diomande only joined last summer from Leganes, is contracted until 2030 and was named the Bundesliga’s best young player after a season that produced 13 goals and nine assists in 36 appearances. The German club is expected to demand a premium, while PSG have said they will not overpay.
