Movieweb reports Paul Rudd recalled making a pair of blunders while preparing to shoot the 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, saying on the podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend that his time shooting in Hawaii was initially blighted by his own mistakes.

Rudd said he tried to dye his hair grey and ended up with a reddish tint: "I was in my 30s when we did it and I tried to dye my hair grey — not even a wig, I should've just worn a wig!" He also described a spray-tan mishap after flying to O'ahu: the tanning salon was on the southern part of the island, he drove back to the north shore, showered before the tan settled and "it all came off, I was in the shower and it was like Psycho," and had to return to the salon, adding that travel time made the round trip longer than the flight from New York to Hawaii.

The article also notes that Charlie Hunnam was offered the part of Aldous Snow but declined, according to an interview with Collider. The film was released April 18, 2008, with a runtime of 111 minutes and was directed by Nicholas Stoller.
