Patrick Godfrey, who starred opposite Drew Barrymore in Ever After, has died at the age of 93. His talent agency, Markham Froggatt & Irwin, said he passed away on Thursday. "It is with great sadness that we can confirm Patrick Godfrey passed away last night," the statement read.

"He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Paddy was an exceptionally talented actor and a remarkable individual, and we will miss him greatly." A cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Godfrey was best known for playing Leonardo da Vinci in the 1998 rom-com Ever After, a spin on the Cinderella tale, which also starred Dougray Scott, Anjelica Huston, Megan Dodds, Melanie Lynskey, Timothy West and Judy Parfitt.

He began his career with BBC’s Radio Drama Company in 1956 and made his screen debut in a 1972 television production of Miss Julie opposite Helen Mirren, Donal McCann and Heather Canning. His film credits include Clockwise (1986), The Remains of the Day (1993), The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) and Les Misérables (2012).
