Paramount lawyer says some critics of Warner Bros. deal are antisemitic
Paramount is facing objections to its planned purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery, and the company’s chief legal officer, Makan Delrahim, said some opponents hold "antisemitic views." He told the Los Angeles Times, "Let's be honest. There's a lot of fear-mongering, particularly from people in Washington, D.C.
They are running a political campaign. Some of these people are trying to inflict harm on this transaction, really because of their own antisemitic views. Regulators and law enforcement officials will see right through that." Paramount declined to comment. The article suggested Delrahim’s remarks may be tied to the Ellisons’ public support for Israel, and that some critics of Larry and David Ellison’s stance could be labeled antisemitic.
