Nikki Glaser says she won't hold back making fun of celebrities at 2026 Golden Globes
Nikki Glaser, 41, said she has no plans to hold back when making fun of celebrities at the 2026 Golden Globes, People reported, during the red carpet rollout at The Beverly Hilton on Jan. 8. “Everyone is fair game. I really feel that way,” she said, adding she had considered leaving “plus ones” alone but felt “[that’s fair].” She also said, “There’s some people that are protected figures, and, like, other people might get upset on their behalf, but that’s really none of my business,” and that “if the person that I’m doing the joke to laughs, I think that’s a reason enough for me to do it.” Glaser said she writes “from a place of love” and added, “I’m not gonna be so mean that anyone is going to hate me for the rest of their careers.” Glaser hosted the Golden Globes for the first time in 2025, becoming the first solo female host in the award show’s history; weeks later it was announced she would return as host in 2026, with Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne praising the star’s “refreshing spark and fearless wit.” Among 2026 nominations, One Battle After Another leads the movies with nine nods, followed by Sentimental Value with eight and Sinners with seven; The White Lotus scored the most television nominations with six, then Adolescence with five.
Notable nominees include Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Michael B. Jordan, Jeremy Allen White, Cynthia Erivo, Kate Hudson, Timothée Chalamet, George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio.
