Neymar back in training, set to be available vs Scotland
Neymar returned to the training pitch in New Jersey after missing Brazil's first two World Cup fixtures with a calf problem, stepping up rehabilitation with ball drills as the squad prepares for the final Group C match against Scotland. Most of the team completed indoor recovery work at Columbia Park, but Neymar was out on the field accompanied only by full-back Alex Sandro.
He has been managing a grade two calf strain that initially carried a two-to-three-week recovery timeline, yet his progress has opened the door for an earlier return. Manager Carlo Ancelotti said the forward would build fitness individually before rejoining full sessions at the start of the week.
"Neymar will be training tomorrow individually, and on Monday with the rest of the team. He will be available for the match against Scotland." Brazil followed a 3-0 win over Haiti, with Matheus Cunha and Vinicius Junior on the scoresheet, after an opening draw with Morocco.
