More than a decade after N++ arrived, Metanet Software is returning to the series with N Plus Infinity Times Two, a multiplayer-focused follow-up from creators Raigan Burns and Mare Sheppard. Burns says the team wants to “go a bit perpendicular” to N++ rather than try to improve its hardcore single-player formula, applying two decades of learning to make a different kind of platforming experience.

The game supports online and local multiplayer for up to four players and centers on five main modes that mix cooperative and competitive play. Metanet showed Racing—a dash to the exit where characters grab gold, trigger traps and where the first finisher is automatically armed with a rocket launcher—and Tag Team, described as “if you turned Counter-Strike surfing into melee only deathmatch,” with two ninjas surviving against two hunters who can set traps and turn into rockets.

Each player leaves a color-coded trail to help follow movement on busy screens.
