Myha'la says she quietly married Armando Rivera, revealed on Instagram
People reports that Myha'la revealed on Instagram on Jan. 5 that she quietly married actor Armando Rivera a year ago.
In a joint post the couple shared several wedding photos and the caption, "One year of marriage ♾️💍," adding, "Sos if this is how you’re finding out, promise we didn’t tell most everyone 😗." Myha'la thanked photographer Quil Lemons and officiant Jordan Plutzer and wrote she was "Endlessly grateful to our friends and family for helping make this day so very magical." She wore an ivory halterneck dress with a sheer floral shawl and lace gloves; Rivera wore a black suit and loafers. The ceremony’s location was not disclosed, though the pictures appear to be inside a home decorated with white flowers and candles, and the newlyweds posed with two fluffy cats.
The pair met via Instagram DM in November 2020 and later announced their engagement on July 17, 2024, sharing matching chunky silver engagement rings. Myha'la has discussed their early contact and first in-person meeting in an interview published in W Magazine in February 2023, saying they began with video messages and FaceTime dates before meeting in January 2021.
What is known is the couple marked their first wedding anniversary in the Instagram post; it remains unclear where the private ceremony took place. Myha'la is best known for her role in the drama Industry, whose fourth season premieres on HBO on Sunday, Jan. 11.
