Modder posts work-in-progress to make Hytale look like Minecraft

According to Gamesradar, a modder has posted images on Reddit of a work-in-progress mod that makes Hytale look more like Minecraft, mere days after the game entered early access.

Hytale’s roots trace back to a Minecraft server in the mid-2010s, and developer Hypixel retained a block-based visual style as the project grew into a distinct RPG. The Reddit user wrote, "It's a work in progress, I'll put it up on CurseForge when I have something that's functional enough," and their screenshot shows a multi-square bottom inventory and softer textures that give Hytale a more Minecraft-like appearance.

Comment threads are already speculating how deep the connection might go, with one commenter imagining a portal to Minecraft and another predicting someone will "completely remake Minecraft in Hytale within the next year," the article notes. For now, the mod remains a work in progress and the creator says they will upload it to CurseForge when it is functional enough.
