Masked Singer Season 14 previews big premiere and possible Nicole Scherzinger twist
Collider reports that The Masked Singer Season 14 will premiere on FOX on Wednesday, January 7th; host Nick Cannon teased the opener was “a big episode” with “a lot of reveals” after the series skipped its usual fall 2025 season.
Returning panelists Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong are joined by Rita Ora, who replaced Nicole Scherzinger after her 2023 departure. The set is described as massive and immersive, and the show’s costumes — which judges call the “heart and soul” of the series — have earned recognition including an Art Directors Guild Award nomination, a Guild of Music Supervisors Awards win, a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Competition Program, a Costume Designers Guild Award and two Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Panelists and fans are already speculating about the season’s identities — some suggest Scherzinger could be under the scarab beetle — and the judges say she would be hard to pick out. Cannon said Scherzinger has been “doing bigger and better things” and teased, “She's going to be under this mask at one point. It has to happen.” The Masked Singer airs Wednesday nights on FOX.
