Lost In Random: The Eternal Die leaves Game Pass — a must-play roguelike
Microsoft is removing Lost In Random: The Eternal Die from Xbox Game Pass, ending access for subscribers despite the game's praise as one of 2025's unsung titles. Released in June 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X, The Eternal Die is a direct sequel to Zoink's 2021 action-adventure Lost In Random.
It changes perspective by casting players as the original antagonist and shifting the camera to an isometric angle common in roguelikes. Players control Queen Aleksandra alongside a sentient die named Fortune, which can be thrown in combat to explode enemies. The game centers on procedurally generated dungeons, a hub populated by rescued characters, a limited set of weapons — sword, bow, hammer and spear — and boss fights that demand creative builds and pattern memorization.
Between runs, resources let you level up stats and unlock new abilities, giving the title steady meta-progression; for roguelike fans, it's a must-play.
