Kit Harington and Sophie Turner reunite in Gothic horror The Dreadful
Movieweb reports that Game of Thrones alums Kit Harington and Sophie Turner reunite in the new trailer for the Gothic horror film The Dreadful.
Lionsgate describes the movie as an unnerving Gothic tale reuniting Turner and Harington and featuring Academy Award-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden. Set in medieval England, the story follows Anne and her domineering mother-in-law Morwen as they struggle to survive on the outskirts of society; when a man from Anne's past returns from war, a curse begins to take shape through a mysterious knight and threatens to destroy them all.
The Dreadful is scheduled to open in theaters on February 20, 2026. Harington and Turner spent a decade on Game of Thrones; Harington also appeared in Marvel's Eternals with a post-credits tease about the Black Knight, and the proposed Jon Snow sequel is currently in a "stop" phase while Harington stars in HBO's Industry. Turner is preparing to play Lara Croft in a Tomb Raider series for Prime Video, which recently released a first official look at her as Croft.
