Katy Perry collaborates with rapper who once threatened to 'smack' her
Katy Perry and Chief Keef released a remix of Perrys 2013 song "Legendary Lovers" on Thursday, 13 years after Keef threatened to "smack" her during an online beef. Perry posted a TikTok of the duo dancing and singing along to the remix with the caption, "LEGENDARY LOVERS OUT NOW @ChiefKeef." The pair merged Perrys "Legendary Lovers" and Keefs "Save Me" after both tracks went viral on TikTok earlier this year.
Collaboration rumors began when Keefs label, 43B, posted an Instagram Reel showing the artists talking in a parking lot. Perry teased the release in multiple TikToks, including one of them shaking hands to their remix and another captioned, "attempting to summon Mr.
Keef." Their public clash dates to 2013, when Perry criticized the song "I Hate Being Sober" and Keef responded with profane threats, saying she could "suck skin off my d--k" and "Ill smack the s--t out her." Perry later apologized, writing she was sorry if shed offended him and that she hadnt realized it was him on the track.
