Movieweb reports that Fox will premiere Fear Factor: House of Fear, hosted by Johnny Knoxville, on Jan. 11 in a special post–NFL wildcard game slot.

While the game starts at 4:30 p.m. ET, the show will air at 8 p.m. ET; it will then normally air on Wednesday nights beginning Jan. 21. The reboot reimagines the classic dare-and-stunt series with contestants living under the same roof and facing the series’ legendary challenges alongside a new element of social strategy.

A Fox boss said, "His wild sense of humor, unmatched ability to push boundaries and take on the extreme makes him the perfect fit to lead this bold new reinvention of Fear Factor." The CEO of production company Endemol Shine North America added: "When you reimagine a series as legendary as Fear Factor, you need a host who is the epitome of daring charisma and spectacle, and that's Johnny Knoxville personified." The 2026 reboot is being fully produced by Fox and will run exclusively on the network; the format follows the show’s original 2001–2006 run (with Joe Rogan), Rogan’s 2011 return for a single season, and a 2017 revival on MTV hosted by Ludacris.
