Jason Momoa says acting with his son on Dune: Part Three was terrifying
Movieweb reports Jason Momoa said he was "absolutely terrifying" to act alongside his son, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, on Dune: Part Three during a recent appearance on Today.
Momoa, who returns to the franchise as Duncan Idaho after not appearing in Dune: Part Two, said he was scared because "it’s my baby. I didn't want him to get into acting, and then he did it on his own. And he really killed it, and he's really good." His son joined the cast as Leto II Atreides after submitting an audition tape for a minor role and ultimately earning a larger part; he was already a skilled martial artist and had watched Momoa work on the film.
Dune: Part Three is directed by Denis Villeneuve and is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026. With the film still months away, Momoa is also promoting other projects, including The Wrecking Crew, which is due on Prime Video on Jan. 28.
