Hoto electric screwdriver makes PC building quicker, now $28
I hadn’t heard of Hoto before I got this screwdriver; it’s not exactly a household name, though it’s a popular option on Amazon. I took the plunge late last year and have been pretty impressed with it since.
For Prime Day the electric Hoto is down to $28, but you need a Prime membership to get that price. That’s not quite the cheapest it’s been—back in March it briefly dropped to $25—but it’s close.
The kit includes a handful of bits that cover the important screws for a PC build or most tech jobs. The bits don’t get very small, so you’ll want a slimmer driver for tiny or fiddly work, but for fitting a motherboard and general assembly it handles the job quickly.
It offers three torque settings up to 4 Nm; torque setting 1 is plenty for PC work and setting 2 worked well for some home maintenance I tried. Battery life has been strong: it uses a 1,500 mAh cell, charges via a USB Type-C port on the bottom, and I’ve only needed to recharge it a few times despite building a lot of PCs.
