ExpressVPN reaches 27 security audits — what that means
ExpressVPN says it has completed 27 independent security audits, with the latest inspections by Cure53 covering ExpressMailGuard and Identity Defender. Cure53 examined the source code of each product for security flaws, vulnerabilities, or hidden surprises that could cast doubt on ExpressVPN's security posture and no-logs policy.
Audits have also been performed by KPMG, and a full list appears on ExpressVPN's Trust Center. Security audits in the VPN industry can cover many areas: infrastructure such as server security, data storage and network configuration; source code for hard-coded vulnerabilities or programming errors; desktop, mobile, and browser apps for exposed credentials or coding issues; no-logs policies and data-handling practices; encryption protocols; DNS leaks; and new product lines or updates.
Shay Peretz, COO of ExpressVPN, said: "Independent audits matter to consumers because they are one of the strongest ways to build real trust.
