Eintracht among clubs eyeing Lois Openda after disappointing Juve spell
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio says Eintracht Frankfurt are among the clubs monitoring Juventus forward Lois Openda. Nottingham Forest and AS Monaco are also tracking the former RB Leipzig striker, with all three preferring a loan move that includes an option to buy.
Openda joined Torino on loan from Leipzig last summer; a mandatory buyout clause became active after Juventus secured a top-ten Serie A finish. A 1-0 win at Atalanta in mid-April confirmed that placing and triggered the clause, earning RB Leipzig around €50 million in total — the fixed transfer fee alone was €42.75m.
The switch has not worked out for Juventus. In 34 competitive matches the 26-year-old managed only two goals, and his only involvement in the final eleven league games was a four-minute substitute appearance. With confidence in him diminished, Juventus' recruitment team are already looking for buyers despite the recent multi-million-euro deal.
