Curtis Jones' Inter move hinges on Man City signing Elliot Anderson
Inter are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, but the transfer depends on a chain of dealings involving Manchester City and Nottingham Forest. The Nerazzurri see Jones as a key building block for their midfield if the financial pieces align. At the centre of that chain is Elliot Anderson, whose value has risen after a standout Premier League season; City have had a £120 million bid rejected by Forest and he is currently representing England under Thomas Tuchel at the World Cup.
If City complete Anderson's signing, Forest would immediately look to the Serie A market for a replacement. The Premier League side have long been interested in Davide Frattesi, and the influx of cash would let them meet Inter's valuation. Inter value Frattesi at €30m, and his departure would clear wages and generate the fee the club needs to pursue other targets.
Jones has been Inter's top midfield target, but negotiations with Liverpool have stalled over valuation.
