Contact lens mishap shortens Parrillan blind date but pair plan to meet again
Karyshma and Arun met for a Guardian Blind Date at Parrillan in London SE1. They found plenty to talk about, from books, film and travel to family, identity and even Reggae Reggae crisps.
Karyshma said Arun was punctual, warm and a good conversationalist who listens and responds thoughtfully. She described him as open, family-oriented and relatable.
Arun praised Karyshma’s smile, eyes and laugh, calling her confident, engaging and intelligent. He enjoyed their conversation about family dynamics, films and books.
The evening was cut short when Karyshma’s contact lens fell out; they did not go on afterwards. Karyshma said the venue was loud and the pair didn’t kiss. Arun noted it was too cold to continue.
They exchanged numbers and both expressed interest in meeting again. Karyshma gave the date an 8 out of 10; Arun effectively rated it a 10 by way of compliments.
