Movieweb reports George Clooney reunited with his ER co-star Noah Wyle at the Movies for Grownups Awards, and before presenting him an award Clooney joked, "When I grow up, I want to be Noah Wyle." Per The Hollywood Reporter, both actors exchanged accolades at the ceremony: Wyle continued a streak of wins for his performance in The Pitt, while Clooney won for Jay Kelly.

Clooney praised Wyle's early career and friendship, saying, "I met Noah in 1993. He hadn't worked a lot yet and we did this show called ER and it was this crazy hit. At one time we had 40 million people watching and I remember Noah going, 'Is that good?' I was like, 'That's good, that'll never happen again.' He was wise beyond his years from the very beginning, from the very start.

He was the kindest person I ever met. We became very dear friends very quickly, and remained that way. I'm very proud to call him a friend. I'm also proud to call him a colleague. When I grow up, I want to be Noah Wyle." Wyle returned the praise before handing Clooney a similar award, saying, "You got me choked up there, buddy." He recalled Clooney calling the cast into his trailer during ER's first week and telling them, "OK everybody, this is how it's gonna be.
