Chrisleys defend prison-themed Masked Singer performance
Pagesix reports Todd and Julie Chrisley defended their prison-themed appearance on Fox’s The Masked Singer. Fresh off an early elimination, the couple performed as 'The Croissants' in black-striped outfits evoking prison uniforms while singing Elvis Presley's 'Jailhouse Rock.'
Julie said the choice was 'our story' and a way to own that chapter, adding that everyone has parts of their story that are not all good and that they wanted to move on from it. Todd said choosing 'Jailhouse Rock' was his way of getting ahead of critics and 'taking possession of my own peace.' The pair called their time on the show positive, noted it was the first production they did without their children, and Julie joked she may have been the 'ball and chain' vocally while praising Todd's voice.
The couple spent more than two years behind bars for alleged fraud before being pardoned by President Trump, and Julie said they did not hear each other's voice for 28 months while incarcerated. The Masked Singer was their first reality-TV project post-prison, and Todd said the family has several projects lined up for 2026 — including a new family series, Julie's cooking show, separate shows with their children Savannah and Chase, and a two-week overseas shoot — calling 2026 'very busy.'
