Celebrities pay tribute after Valentino dies at 93

Pagesix reports tributes are pouring in for the legendary designer Valentino, who died on Monday at the age of 93. His namesake foundation said Valentino Garavani passed away at his Roman residence, surrounded by his loved ones.

Gwyneth Paltrow wrote 'I was so lucky to know and love Valentino — to know the real man, in private,' and shared a photo of her kissing his cheek, saying 'this feels like the end of an era.' Sarah Jessica Parker posted his birthday and date of death with the text 'RIP VAVA' and wrote she is 'so happy to recall' many memories and that 'we are all more fortunate for the grand gestures you shared with the world.' Donatella Versace called him 'a true maestro' and mentioned his longtime business partner Giancarlo Giammetti; Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista also posted tributes, with Evangelista saying she had 'wonderful memories' of working with him.

The foundation said he will lie in state for several days in Piazza Mignanelli, and the funeral will take place on Friday, Jan. 23, at the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri.
