Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal feud over It Ends With Us
Businessinsider reports that unsealed court documents in January 2026 revealed texts in which Taylor Swift called Justin Baldoni a "bitch," and that a judge formally ended Baldoni's lawsuit against The New York Times, Blake Lively, her representative, and Ryan Reynolds in November 2025.
The two star in It Ends With Us, which Baldoni directed; the film's summer 2024 press tour was clouded by feud rumours even as the movie went on to gross $350 million worldwide. In December 2024 Lively filed a complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, emotional distress, and conspiring to damage her reputation, naming Wayfarer Studios and its CEO among 11 defendants.
Baldoni denied the allegations, filed a defamation suit against The New York Times on December 31, 2024, and in January 2025 he and associates sued Lively, her publicist, and Reynolds seeking $400 million; a judge threw out that $400 million suit in June 2025, allowed an amended complaint, and then formally ended the suit after a missed deadline in November 2025.
