Black Phone 2 to Stream on Peacock January 16, 2026
Movieweb reports that Universal Pictures' Black Phone 2 is set to stream on Peacock on January 16, 2026.
The sequel follows Finney (Mason Thames) and Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) at a winter youth camp as they seek to uncover secrets about the origins of The Grabber (Ethan Hawke). Scott Derrickson returned to direct from a script he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill, and the film garnered favorable reviews upon its October 2025 release. It became available for digital rental and purchase on November 4, 18 days after opening in theaters, and will debut on streaming 91 days after its theatrical release.
The cast includes Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeline McGraw, Demián Bichir, Arianna Rivas, Miguel Mora, Jeremy Davies, Maev Beaty and Graham Abbey. Black Phone 2 opened with $27.3 million and went on to gross $77 million domestically and $132 million worldwide against a $30 million budget. Currently there is no word on Black Phone 3; Hawke has expressed interest in returning, while director Scott Derrickson says he will only move forward if they can develop another story worth telling.
