Angie Katsanevas, a 52-year-old salon owner from Salt Lake City, has risen from a guest role to the “center snowflake” on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City as the show wraps its sixth season. Born to immigrants from Crete and raised Greek Orthodox in a predominantly Mormon city, Ms.

Katsanevas said she felt isolated growing up: “I grew up in an all-Mormon neighborhood. My entire grade, my entire school, everyone was Mormon.” She has described a childhood of babysitting relatives, wearing hand-me-downs and being raised by a single father of seven. Ms. Katsanevas and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, launched the Lunatic Fringe salon in 1999 and expanded it into a franchise operating in three states.

After appearing as a guest in Season 2, she became a full-time cast member and — fans have pointed out online — the only Housewife in Bravo history to reach the center-snowflake position. Her sharp one-liners have translated into business deals, including a Kerastase partnership after the “high body count hair” line and an Arby’s commercial sparked by the remark “You do French fries, I do franchise.” Andy Cohen commented “Dead,” in response to her Instagram reel sharing the ad.

As the season finale airs on Tuesday, Ms. Katsanevas is testing a new sunglasses line at BravoCon and helping her daughter Elektra recover after the family’s horse, Glitter, was injured last June — an injury a tarot reader had predicted on the show, which Ms.
